Chapter Philanthropy

Sigma Kappa hosts our annual Ultra Violet event, Sigma Kappa's Best Dance Crew, during winter quarter. This popular dance competition has fraternities and sororities on campus preparing their dance routines months in advance to compete for the top prize. This year we raised nearly $15,000 to support Alzheimer's Disease Research.

Watch our 2019 SKBDC video to learn more about the Alzheimer's Association; this is just one of FOUR philanthropic initiatives that the Sigma Kappa Foundation supports! The Sigma Kappa Foundation also supports Inherit the Earth, Gerontology, and the Maine Seacoast Mission.

Every year Sigma Kappa chapters across the country participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's! We love raising funds and awareness to put an end to Alzheimer's Disease.

Every year our chapter participates in Sigma Kappa's annual Day of Service. This year we partnered with a local assisted living home, Brookdale Clairemont Senior Living, to host a "Senior Prom" for the residents. Our girls had so much fun hosting and throwing this event! We loved getting to talk and interact with the residents! Throwing a "Senior Prom" for Brookdale Clairemont Senior Living was such a rewarding experience for our chapter. It was the perfect way for Zeta Mu to celebrate Day of Service as it gave us the opportunity to give back to our community in such a way that draws recognition to two of our philanthropies—Gerontology and Alzheimer's.
